Welcome to the Connector Project.
Connection is power. Connectors are leaders you may or may not know. They are trusted sources of information, know how to get things done, and make a difference in our communities every day. Are you a Connector?
Modeled on a similar project in Philadelphia, The Connector Project proposes to use a unique scientific survey developed by Dr. Karen Stephenson to study connection in Clark, Clackamas, Multnomah and Washington Counties. By doing so, the Project will identify ways to recognize and facilitate the work of Connectors, creating collaboration where there was previously none.
The Connector Project’s Goals
- Conduct a study in late 2010 of the Connectors in our region
- Study how these Connectors are connected across Clark, Clackamas, Multnomah and Washington Counties within four sectors
- Business
- Non-Profit
- Education
- Government
- Publish the study and a map of the Connectors and how they are connected.
- Reach out to Connectors to solicit their involvement
- Identify where connections are strong and where they are weak or non-existent
- Come alongside groups that are already doing great work in the community to encourage them to connect and collaborate
- Identify 2-3 groups to implement our findings and carry them through.
